Bus Parking Project
This area will become the district's first centralized bus parking area. For years, drivers have taken their buses home and parked them on their own property, a practice frowned upon by law enforcement and insurance personnel. Homeland Security and a recent Ohio Law now recommend that all public school buses be parked in secured, locked areas.
Phase one of this project will be for bus parking and fueling only. The area is now surrounded by an eight foot fencing with overhead lights. A new fuel tank will soon be installed.
Phase two of this project contains plans for a maintenance/bus repair building and blacktop paving over the entire surface.
In preparation for the sitework to begin on the new JM High School/Middle School campus, you will notice the trailer of our construction management firm, The Ruhlin Co., is on this site. During this construction period, this trailer will also be available to our transportation department.
