Congratulations David Vega, Jr.

David Vega, is awarded a National Gold Medal in the Scholastic Art Competition. His drawing originally received a Gold Key back in December at our regional/state level competition. His artwork then advanced to New York City to be judged.

There were nearly 340,000 works of art submitted in the 2019 National Scholastic Art Competition. David was selected to receive the GOLD MEDAL in New York City on June 6th at Carnegie Hall. Receiving a National Medal places David within the top 1% of submissions! David's art will now travel with other finalists nationally for two years, displayed within different museums and galleries all over our country. He will also be published in the 2019 Best Teen Art Scholastic art book. I am so proud of his hard work and artistic talents! Please make sure you congratulate David on this high honor.
