Ohio Supreme Court Justice Visits Boardman for Multi-School Event
Boardman, OH-- Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judith French will make a school visit at Boardman High School on Wednesday, March 23. She will be speaking to hundreds of High School students from districts across Mahoning, Columbiana, and Portage County at the Boardman Performing Arts Center at 10:00 a.m.
Justice French grew up in Sebring, the daughter of a schoolteacher, and she appreciates her Ohio roots and education. She is committed to being a part of civic education in Ohio. As a justice, she speaks frequently to students from around Ohio, particularly those studying the Ohio judicial system.
School districts from across the Mahoning Valley are attending, including Austintown, Boardman, Beaver Local, Campbell, East Palestine, Jackson-Milton, Struthers, Sebring, Western Reserve, and Windham. The Districts are sending their students from AP Government classes, U.S History, and College Credit Plus; some of the best and brightest who have an interest in our government and courts.
Justice French plans on meeting with a smaller group of Boardman Students during a government class at 9:30 AM, and then addressing the multi-school group at the BPAC beginning at 10 AM.
Expect a lively two way exchange, as Justice French says her favorite part of school visits is the Question and Answer Session. “I look forward to hearing what students are curious about. I’m happy to share my experiences coming from a small town in Ohio, and what I’ve learned from the many positions I’ve held along the way.”
