Fall Sports Wrap Up 2016

What a fall season we have had for our student-athletes at both the high school and middle school levels.  They have certainly performed on the playing field and just a reminder we will be honoring our Athletic Honor Roll in the coming weeks.

Just a few of the many highlights from the Fall

1. Our Junior High Football team capped of an undefeated season this last week with a 26-0 shutout against Lowellville.  Coach Brode and Coach Chick have done an outstanding job with their team and with many of the players moving up to the high school next year we look forward to further success.

2.Our Varsity Volleyball Team wrapped up their season last week but before they finished they completed another successful year.  Coach Prozy, Coach Craig and Coach Rothbauer have worked hard all year with this group.  Our JV team finished the year with only one loss on the year and the future is bright for our volleyball team.  Our 7 seniors were able to capture a share of the ITCL Blue Tier Championship.

3.Our Varsity Cross Country team have been putting in the miles all year in many different weather conditions. On this past, they competed in the District Cross Country Meet at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds.  This course experienced 6 inches of rain in the days leading to the meet and resembled a mud pit more than a cross country course.  This did not stop our runners from having a great day. Michaelina Terranova was able to battle the winds and finished in 20thplace which is good enough to move on to the Regional at Boardman High School, this weekend.  Her race is atand there is a $7.00 charge in case you want to attend.   The boys team just missed out at advancing to Regionals as a team.

4.Our Varsity Football team also shut out Lowellville by a score of 26-0 this pastnight.  The boys are on verge of making the playoffs for the second time in school history.  We will have more details on that after this weekend and the last game which isnight at.   We will be honoring our senior football players, golfers, runners, soccer players, cheerleaders, and band members.  This ceremony will start atso please come early to honor our seniors.

There is no schedule included for this week due to most sports finishing up.   The Athletic Department would like to thank all of you who have made this a great fall season.  Without the valuable support of all of you we could not do what we do for our athletes!

We will start up schedules again after Thanksgiving Break.
