The Jackson-Milton School District appreciates your patience and understanding as we navigate together through this unprecedented time. Governor DeWine has extended the state wide closure of public schools until May 1, 2020. Please know this could be extended further, but if it is not extended, school will resume Monday, May 4, 2020. We know families have a lot of questions, and we want to address these questions to the best of our ability, but please know plans and dates are subject to change. As a reminder, please contact teachers directly through email with any questions regarding class assignments. Teachers are checking their emails. It is also important that students check their school email and login to online classes.
What about prom?
Right now the plan is to postpone prom, however at this time there is no set date.
What is going on with graduation?

Will there still be a yearbook?
There will be a yearbook, parents can still order yearbooks online. Due to the unique circumstances, ordering of both the middle school and high school books has been extended. The middle school book will most likely be delivered to students in the fall, like the high school books have always been. Senior pictures can still be submitted digitally to Mrs. Morelli for the next few weeks if needed, and will be included in the yearbook. The only changes might come with the content of the books as sports/events from the spring have been postponed or canceled at this time. We have also not been able to take the usual group photos for clubs/groups at this time due to the school closure, but all available school portraits have been included and all sports have been included through winter in each book.
JMES will also have a yearbook. Pictures will be accepted until April 24, 2020. Picture submissions can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be in communication with how to order.
What about Kindergarten Registration?
Kindergarten Registration cannot happen during the state mandated closure.
Once a date is set, we will let you know. If you have a child attending Kindergarten this fall please download the school registration form and mail it to the school.
What’s going on with scheduling for the 2020-2021 school year at the MS/HS?
