JMHS students attend YSU MathFest -
Kalli Ivari, Andrea Bennasar Morales, Aiden Cole, and Serenity Perrine attended YSU's annual MathFest on Thursday, March 2nd along with Mrs. Vallinger. The students participated in a mixed team competition with students from neighboring districts, as well as attended sessions hosted by YSU staff and students. MathFest activities concluded with a guest speaker followed by prizes and awards. Kalli Ivari's team tied for first place in the mixed team competition, earning her recognition and a cash prize.

The 6th grade card collectors club met for the first time on Wednesday March 1st. George Samonas from Youngstown Sports Cards was there to help facilitate the gathering. George brought some cards for the students to keep and took them through a simulated card break that all students enjoyed. They discussed future meetings and topics as well as the business side of card collecting. The students all had a great time. We would like to thank George and Youngstown Sports Cards for their time and the cards. We look forward to the next meeting.

Barry Gonis of Spitzer Chevrolet is presented an Ohio School Boards' Association Honor Roll certificate by Jackson-Milton Superintendent Kirk Baker. Spitzer Chevy is recognized for their many donations to the school district to help with athletics and academics.

Spitzer’s generous donations help our athletic program purchase items that are not in the budget. Spitzer has also donated to our Entrepreneurship classes to help purchase 3-D printers and a Banner making machine. Spitzer’s Dealership is greatly appreciated by everyone at Jackson-Milton.
